We hold various events throughout the year at Greave House Farm.
Annual Farm Friends Day (AGM) – Saturday 19th September 2026 1-4pm.
At the Legionaires club Stocksbridge, £10 /ticket Child £5 Loads of really good raffle prizes!! Help us raise funds for our Care Farm.
Job Vacancies
Volunteering-
We have lots of volunteering jobs available.
On Thursdays working on the land growing food and developing our organic environment. We work with nature to bring our the best and most creative growth, caring for the planet in small but significant ways.
If you are interested in supporting our neuro-divergent Farm hands voluntarily there may be opportunities too on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This involves supporting our farm hands in a range of work from gardening, heavy physical tasks on the farm to building based craft and cooking activities. Its great fun!
Trustees –
We need a few more people to help with the decision making and the development of the Charity. Are you interested in our work? Able to give about 4 evenings a year to guide and direct our work? Do you care about the planet and want to do something positive and creative as well as share your skills and learn more? Maybe learn new experiences to add to your CV or to help with your future? Then please contact us at -greavehousefarmtrust.co.uk for more information.
There are also opportunities for volunteering in support roles such as administration and finance. Please get in touch if you feel able to offer help and support, it is always appreciated.

🎉 We’re delighted to
announce that we are now officially a registered charity! 🎉
We’re incredibly pleased to share that we have recently
gained charitable status with the Charity Commission and are now officially
registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
Charity Number: 1218935
This is an exciting milestone for us and an important step
forward in our journey. Becoming a registered CIO strengthens our organisation
and will help us continue developing our work, supporting our community and
making a positive difference.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has
supported us along the way. We’re excited about what comes next and look
forward to continuing this journey together.

🌱 A NEW NAME. A NEW CHAPTER. THE SAME COMMUNITY SPIRIT. 🌱
We’re really excited to finally share something we’ve been working towards for some time…
Welcome to Well Field Community Farm! 💚
Our care farm will now be known as Well Field Community Farm, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our farm, our community and everyone who is part of what we do.
The farm has grown and developed so much over the years, and we felt that it was time for a name that better reflects what we are today — a place where people, animals, nature and our community can come together, learn and thrive. A place “where everyone can grow”
For the time being, the farm still remains as a branch of Greave House Farm Trust, the registered charity under which we currently operate. In time, we will also be changing the charity’s name to Well Field Community Farm, bringing everything together under the new identity.
And this isn’t just about a new name…
We’ve recently secured planning permission for our new agricultural barn, giving us much-needed additional indoor space. This is an exciting development we have planned for the near future. However, this will involve lots of fundraising, so keep an eye out for updates on this.
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing more about our journey on our social media platforms, including the story of how the Trust began, what we’ve achieved along the way, and our vision for the future of Well Field Community Farm. 🎥🌱

A new chapter starts here. 💚
New Eco barn
Finally after a long time we have applied for Planning permission for a very much needed Barn. Cold and extremely wet winters have made our work and lives very difficult with only our tiny portacabin for shelter. Our new barn will be insulated, powered by Solar and enable us to work right through the year making goods doing much needed jobs for the Farm. We will be getting more animals and growing and producing much more food in our purpose built lean-to greenhouse if we get it.
